Twitter Put Rose McGowan In A Time-Out

Rose McGowan has been spitting hot truth on Twitter for a while now, but the implosion of Harvey Weinstein’s career has caused people to really pay attention. As it turns out, Twitter hasn’t been so crazy about what Rose has been serving, and they suspended her account.

Ever since The New York Times published their exposé on Harvey, Rose has been extremely active on Twitter, tweeting her support for other victims, more allegations of her own, and calling out harassment hypocrites (like Ben Affleck). In more recent tweets, she heavily implied that Bob Weinstein wasn’t the innocent brother he appeared to be and called him a “POS.” She also went for possible enabler Matt Damon, calling him a “spineless profiteer who stays silent.” According to Twitter’s guidelines, personal attacks and harassment are a no-no, and Rose was put on notice:

TWITTER HAS SUSPENDED ME. THERE ARE POWERFUL FORCES AT WORK. BE MY VOICE. #ROSEARMY #whywomendontreport

Rose’s Twitter account is now active, but her tweet about Matt Damon is gone. It appears that Rose didn’t get a full suspension. More like an in-school half-day suspension, if you will. When asked by the Times about Rose’s Twitter suspension, Twitter declined to comment, citing “privacy and security reasons.

Looks like Twitter is getting serious about those guidelines! If they’ll suspend Rose McGowan’s account for calling out alleged sexual predators and their enablers, just think how horrified Twitter will be when they discover all the real awful shit that’s happening on Twiter. Like the nazis and white supremacists spreading hateful stuff through the blue bird. Or Trump! Yep, Twitter will surely ban him and the Nazis the very second they find out what they’ve been up to.
